I don’t usually encourage using your iPhone as a GPS. I won’t do it this time either, but I’ll recommend an interesting road companion.

Car Trip gives you the essential info on your trip. You basically have 4 apps in one. As the developer says, you’ll always know how far you are from the destination and how much gas your car will need to get there. Based on that you can plan the best route. Car Trip knows the weather in your location so you won’t get stuck in the snow.
